HOW DO I BECOME A GOOD MAKER?
Applications for our 2026 Good Makers Markets will open in November. Sign up for our mailing list to be the first to be notified. Applications will be open for about 6 weeks. Then our jury will meet to decide our Good Makers.
This is a juried market. Meaning vendors are hand picked based on photos and description. Awesome pics are SUPER important:) We love us some GOOD eye candy;) If you are new business, don't be discouraged. We LOVE introducing fresh talent to the scene.
Our focus is primarily on vintage/re-purposed, and handmade artisan goods. We know some of you have shops or mobile boutiques selling "new/market" items. Our goal is to find a few of those that bring this option to our shoppers in a unique and beautiful way that flows with the vibe of our show. So...bring your "A" game...awesome displays, killer products, and a big pair of a happy pants!!! No direct sales.

Cedar County Fair Grounds - Yes, I know what you're thinking, fairgrounds?!?!? Trust me. It's super cute promise! Picture this, a beautiful white barn with gorgeous wood floors with ceilings that reach the sky, green grass, lots of huge trees for shade and tons and tons of parking for tons and tons of shoppers!!! YAY!!! Our indoor spaces are very limited but the outdoor spaces are awesome too!
In case you're wondering where the heck this is, it's not far off Interstate 80 in between the Quad Cities and Iowa City. So easy peasy to get to!
SET UP DETAILS
Our market begins at 3:00 on Friday. While you can for sure set up on Friday, we also allow you to set up on Thursday which we strongly encourage. So much more relaxing for you and it cuts down on the chaos on Friday. We provide overnight security both Thursday and Friday night. There is also a parking lot near by for you to leave your trailers as well. Tearing down early is not allowed.
SALES TAX
You are responsible for the collection of your own sale tax. You are required to apply for a Iowa Sales Tax Permit since the State of Iowa is no longer offering Temporary Sales Permits.
